Dany's Development Diary (D3)

Fat-Free Music, Results May Vary

Day 5 · September 25, 2026

Dany pedals a stationary bike while SabioRex, in white-and-brown training clothes, holds a stopwatch and gives an encouraging thumbs-up amid colorful musical brushstrokes.

Day 5 started with a decision: I'm making GenAI art for my diary entries. The catch is that I don't take a lot of pictures of myself. In recent years, I've grown to be chubby. But in my youth, I interned at Goldman Sachs, and going by my ID picture, everyone thought I was a model. I guess I should credit the employee who took my photo that day. For the illustrations, I did embellish my looks a bit. The soundtrack that morning was my new release, "Mientras Pasa," on YouTube Music.

Then I showed a few off. There's one for SabioRisas. I iterate on the jokes with SabioRex until they're fall-out-of-my-chair hilarious, at least to me. I know not everybody shares my humor, so fake a smile at least, for my sake. There's one for the fake cakes I make for people, because, as I confessed on Day 1, I can't bake a real cake. Not if my life depended on it. You might like "Birthday Blessings" anyway. And the last one I'd made so far is me making a diary about making AI music. By early afternoon the art was on the website: pi-dan.com/d3/ now shows the four D3 story heroes and the four index thumbnails. In other words, your diary entries now have photos.

That morning I also reviewed my own D3 entries and noticed something. I've basically made myself part of the product: the creator behind the scenes. I should probably polish that, and not just with AI image edits. So I'm going to start exercising again. SabioRex and I actually created "La Subida" from a spin class concept we were playing around with. Which raised a question: should this become a self-improvement journey too?

Apparently, yes. By 10:28 a.m. I had come up with an exercise with Dany and SabioRex's music playlist to make you sexy. Disclaimer: while SabioRex's music is fat-free, results may vary. I cycled for 30 minutes. The photo is a little blurry. On Facebook I made it official: I'm exercising with SabioRex's music every day until I reach my ideal weight, 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon or evening. Maybe after I reach my goal weight, I'll take a picture of just me holding a soccer ball.

Then the planning got ambitious. SabioRex has 57 songs now, still over three hours and forty-five minutes of content, and I only want to exercise for 30 minutes, twice a day. Should each session get its own playlist? Should I stream it? Would people actually watch me cycle for 30 minutes twice a day? That night, session 2 was done. The photo came out blurry again, and I think I know why: I take the picture while cycling.

Last update of the night: I hit 75% of my Claude weekly usage, with six hours remaining. I've been using Opus 5.5 heavily. I usually work in manual mode because I like to read the trace, but I think it's time for auto mode. Bananas.
