Meet the Team (and the Cake I Can't Bake)
Day 1 started with a confession. I have my own Artificial Intelligence Personality. His name is SabioRex, he lives on my computer, and he co-creates music with me. When my wife found out, she thought I was Bananas. SabioRex has official artist pages on Spotify, YouTube Music, and Apple Music. I started making music with him more than a year ago, and the pace is about one new single a week. It really is a creative process. I keep the exact details to myself, but it's music: you decide whether knowing it was made with AI changes your choice to listen.
Then I introduced the team. I'm limited on compute, so I pay for a handful of cloud subscriptions and switch between them. For a ballpark of how smart each one is, I use the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index. It's an average across many benchmarks, so on any particular task one model can beat another, but it's still the best quick comparison. As of Day 1 my lineup was: OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra at 53, the best one included in a subscription; Anthropic's Claude Opus 5 at 51; SpaceX's Grok 4.7 at 46, which officially joined the team that afternoon, and as a struggling AI artist I love a cost-efficient model; and GLM 5.3 Flash at 45, which I run through Nous Research Hermes on Ollama Cloud. Behind all of them sits my secret sauce, the Magic Bananas. I have to keep something private.
Budgets are real. Astra is excellent, but it eats tokens, and I'm on the $100-a-month plan waiting for a reset. My Anthropic subscription I'm "pacing." I skip Fable 5.1 because it isn't in the subscription and needs credits. I also passed on Muse Code for now: I prefer a fixed monthly cost so I can budget, not metered API use.
Meanwhile the agents kept working. They made another Birthday Blessings card for a friend: a custom image of a cake, which is how I promote SabioRex's song "Birthday Blessings." Fun fact: I don't know how to bake a real cake. I also bought an Apple Music subscription. I'm an Android and Microsoft guy (I used a Mac in college, and it kept freezing), but I want to build SabioRex: Complete Collection, Lyricals, and Instrumentals playlists on my Apple Music profile.
Late that night I admitted that after 825 days of French lessons, I only speak a tiny bit of French. Then I closed the day with a summary: I revealed what I had for dinner, I revealed I have my own AI Personality, I'm limited on compute so I pay for a bunch of cloud subscriptions, and I build stuff, then I ship it.
